BRCC Foundation Scholarships
Generous support for your academic and workforce goals.
The Baton Rouge Community College Foundation offers competitive scholarships to support students pursuing their educational and workforce goals. Students complete one primary application and are matched with scholarships for which they may qualify based on their program of study, enrollment status, academic information, and other eligibility factors.
Some scholarships may require additional information or a supplemental application.*
Before You Apply
You must first be enrolled at BRCC to apply for BRCC Foundation scholarships. This includes students enrolled in academic programs and workforce training programs. Once enrolled, use your BRCC Banner credentials to log in to AwardSpring and complete your scholarship application.
Scholarship Application Dates
Fall Scholarships
Opens: April 1
Deadline: June 15
Spring Scholarships
Opens: October 1
Deadline: November 15
Applicants must meet scholarship eligibility requirements by the application deadline.
General Eligibility Requirements
Each scholarship has its own requirements, but common eligibility criteria include:
- Enrollment at BRCC
- Full-time enrollment (12 or more credit hours)
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Pursuit of a transfer degree, associate degree, or technical diploma
Some scholarships may have additional or exceptional eligibility requirements.
How the Application Works
Complete the primary scholarship application in AwardSpring. One application allows you to be matched with scholarships you may qualify for.
Some scholarships may require additional information or a supplemental application. Be sure to review any additional requirements shown in AwardSpring.
What Happens After You Apply?
Applications are reviewed through a structured selection process. Scholarship committees consider eligibility, academic performance, and alignment with scholarship criteria. Recipients are notified before the start of the semester.
Receiving Your Award
Scholarship awards are available during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Funds are applied through the BRCC Bursar's Office after the final date for student-initiated withdrawals. Students remain responsible for tuition and fees until scholarship funds are officially disbursed.
Special Application and Process
The Louisiana Construction Education Foundation Endowed Scholarship in Construction Pathway Training for Summer/Fall 2026 requires a separate application .
